Muzaffarnagar: Vidyarthi Sena, the student wing of Shiv Sena, has got Jatin Vashishth as a new district president in Muzaffarnagar.
An important organisational meeting was held on Sunday at the district office at Prakash Chowk, where Jatin Vashishth was officially announced as the District President of Vidyarthi Sena.
During the meeting, the organisation also expanded its base, and around 85 students were inducted into Shiv Sena by granting them membership. In the same programme, Amit Mittal was appointed as the Youth District Secretary.
The meeting was chaired by State Head Lalit Mohan Sharma, while proceedings were conducted by Mandal Pramukh Sharad Kapoor. Several senior Shiv Sena office-bearers and workers were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the meeting, Shiv Sena District President Bittu Sikhera said that Jatin Vashishth has been appointed on the recommendation of State Head Lalit Mohan Sharma. He added that Vashishth has been consistently active among students and has been working hard for the organisation.
“Under his leadership, Vidyarthi Sena will get a new direction and the organisation will become stronger in the district. Our aim is to connect the youth and strengthen the ideology of nationalism and Hindutva,” Sikhera said.
After taking charge, the newly appointed District President Jatin Vashishth said he would fulfil the responsibility entrusted to him with complete sincerity.
“I will strongly promote Shiv Sena’s policies and ideology across the district. Vidyarthi Sena will be strengthened in villages, towns, colleges and educational institutions. I will not step back from spreading the ideology of Hindutva,” he said.
During the meeting, party office-bearers stated that the student community is joining Shiv Sena rapidly, and the organisation’s support base is expected to grow further in the coming time. Mandal Pramukh Sharad Kapoor said that the enthusiasm shown by students clearly indicates that the coming period will be important for the organisation.
The newly inducted members were briefed about the organisation’s policies, discipline, national service and social responsibilities. Office-bearers said that Vidyarthi Sena will soon launch membership drives and public outreach programmes across colleges in the district.
